The Copenhagen Meeting is changing the way you understand Climate Change

But that is not enough to save the world’s climatic problems. Most of all, you have to join in putting pressure on the participating politicians and other representatives in the meeting 7-18 December 2009 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Change is coming

Changes in the world wide climatic politics are needed! Most of all, it is important that the coming COP15 Copenhagen Protocol doesn’t end up as a paper having mainly a preamble with nice words about the importance of a international focus on environmental problems.

It is important that the set of rules for what each country must do is clearly specified. There must be clear terms of the decided future actions in the Copenhagen Protocol, which in 2012 will replace the Kyoto Protocol. This task is too important to let the politicians decide on by themselves. The people has to participate in two different ways:

  1. Ordinary people must put pressure on the politicians, in order to get them to make decisions on actions instead of merely good intentions.
  2. People must act themselves in a way that is good for the environment.

Sometimes, these two tasks can be reached simultaneously, in one world wide coordinated action. The Global Earth Hour is a very fine example of this.
